Perhaps the part of this
program that is most important to industry personnel is the National Registry
of students. This registry will list students who have successfully completed
Residential Construction Academy Series instruction in credentialed programs,
and provide easy access to verification of skills and competencies achieved.
Housed within NAHB’s Building Careers Job Bank, the National Registry links
construction industry employers directly to an online database of qualified
potential employees. Employers can search the database by any number of
criteria, including programs completed. The registry also allows students to
access their completion history throughout the United States. Students also
have the option to place their resume on NAHB’s Job Bank, visited by industry
employers nationwide.
Students who have completed instruction in a credentialed program can go to
www.nahb.org/careers to enroll. This is a free
and easy service which can help expose students to job opportunities in the
industry. To register, simply choose “Job Seekers”, “Advertise My Resume”, and
then be sure to complete the National Registry section of the registration
form.
